The Thoth Tarot which features very unique card designs and artistic direction is a collaboration between the famous occultist Aleister Crowley who designed the deck, and Lady Frieda Harris who painted the illustrations. This very popular divination tarot created between 1938 and 1943 is notable for having major arcana re-ordered and renamed to allow what Crowley calls the “double zodiac loop” for tarot reading. We note that the suit of disks replace the suit of pentacles found in the Waite-Smith decks and many cards have different names. In particular the Knights replace the Kings, The Knights become the Princes and the Pages are replaced by the Princesses. This previously unknown version, referred as A2 as it is from the same publisher, is the second colored version printed by Llewellyn but printed in the USA circa 1969 - It correct the two printing mistakes found in the original version A1.

The deck is complete, in excellent condition and come with its box. All colored versions of the Toth decks are believed to be derived from the prints included in the original limited edition of the Toth book printed by Crowley circa 1944 not Frieda original painting.
